SALE: Sweet Basil Pure Essential Oil 10ml

Because we make all our products in small batches to ensure they're nice and fresh, we rarely have sales due to overstock. However, from time to time, we have little 'ooops' moments for various reasons, and they end up in our sale section here. In the case of these essential oils, they're now a discontinued product, so we're clearing the final remaining stock. They are still new and sealed.

Sweet Basil oil is produced from theleaves of the Ocimum Basilicum plant (commonly known as the culinary herb basil), and has been used in perfumery, medicine and skincare for centuries. 

It's a warm, sweet, fresh and herbaceous scent with hints of liquorice to the aroma. It's uplifting, stimulating and energising, and is also used as a natural insect repellent and, when inhaled, as a headache reliever and to aid respiratory function. It is also antibacterial. 

It is also used topical to ease aches and pains (but must be well diluted before application).
 
Our Sweet Basil oil is produced in Morocco by steam distillation.
 
Subject to being diluted before use on skin to a maximum of 0.5% strength), Basil oil can be used topically for adults, but should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
